We hope you are staying safe and warm and enjoying the holiday spirit wherever you are.
As we gear up for the festive season, we thought we might share with you a few of our favorite ideas for holiday gifts this year.
I think this year’s power gift is the Instant Pot, right? If you’re on the fence about getting one, do it! Most useful kitchen appliance ever. There are great deals out there, including this one on Amazon. After an Instant Pot, anything goes. Here are a few of my favorites:
Seasonal Pie Tea Towels: Is there a pie lover in your life? Check out these seasonal pie tea towels from Wild Ink Press! They’re designed by Rebekah Tennis in collaboration with Our Site, using some of my favorite seasonal pie recipes.
You can buy them individually ($14), or as a set ($48). Use the code PIETOWELS10 for a 10% discount at checkout.
Cooking Cheat Sheets: Want to cook like a Boss? Or know someone who does? These durable, laminated cooking and measuring cheat sheets by our friend Stephanie Stiavetti of FearlessFresh.com will help you up your game.
One set focuses on cooking tips: Laminated Cooking Cheatsheets $23, and the other set on measuring: Laminated Measuring Cheatsheets $26. You can also buy them bundled together for $49.
L’Appart: The Delights and Disasters of Making My Paris Home by David Lebovitz: When master chef, cookbook author, and blogger David Lebovitz decided to buy and renovate an apartment in Paris, it’s an understatement to say he didn’t know what he was getting into.
Follow along David’s at times hilarious, at times scary, all times crazy journey, accompanied of course by recipes that saw him through this ordeal. I couldn’t put the book down! L’Appart: The Delights and Disasters of Making My Paris Home
As some of you may have noted here on the site and on our Instagram feed, I’ve fallen hard for sous vide cooking this year. It’s been so much fun to learn a new way to cook! The Joule has been my tool of choice for this, and I highly recommend for anyone on your list who might be thinking about taking the plunge into sous vide.
Here are a few other gifts I’ve had my eye on!
Gilmore Girls Coffee Coffee Coffee Mug from The Casey Barber Shop: Love coffee? Love Gilmore Girls? Then you need this coffee mug! All my coffee-loving bffs are getting one of these mugs this year.
Ultra Lux Moisturizing Cream from Sugar & Pith: Since I’m in the kitchen all day and constantly washing my hands, my skin needs some serious TLC during the winter months. This moisturizing cream from Sugar & Pith is the best I’ve found. It sinks into my skin and keeps my hands soft for hours. My favorite is the Jasmine, Juniper, and Lime fragrance!
America the Great Cookbook benefiting No Kid Hungry: A great cookbook for a great cause! This collection from Washington Post food and dining editor Joe Yonan brings together favorite recipes from American chefs, bloggers, and leading culinary personalities along with stories and gorgeous photos. This would be a great gift for a food-loving friend who already has everything.
